Policies & Guidelines for Chief & Council

The Good Governance Project has focused on strengthening the policies, processes, and expectations that guide Chief and Council and support effective, accountable governance at Lac Seul First Nation.

Through this work, LSFN has developed a comprehensive Policy and Guidelines for Chief and Council, along with supporting policies that provide clearer direction around roles and responsibilities, conduct, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, communications, and community engagement.

The project has also helped establish clearer processes for accountability, including how concerns or complaints regarding the conduct of Chief and Council are addressed.

Together, these policies and processes provide a stronger and more consistent governance framework for current and future Councils.
