Made up of land laws specific to LSFN and will replace the 44 Land Management Provisions of the Indian Act. The Land Code provides increased protection for reserve land and resources.

Good Governance Project
Over the past 2 years, Metallic Law (a First Nation law firm), with the assistance of AS Williams Consulting (a First Nation consulting firm), have supported LSFN Chief and Council in a project to review and update LSFN laws and policies

Election Law
Creating a custom LSFN Election Law is an opportunity for Lac Seul First Nation to re-assert its jurisdiction regarding community leadership selection and will be a step away from the election rules of the Indian Act (Section 74 only). In other words, it will be an important step toward greater self-governance.
