IFNA Hosts Midwifery Gathering
On March 4th and 5th, the Events Centre was filled with Elders, midwives, allies, and parents to take part in reclaiming midwifery to first nation communities.
Participants were able to share their personal stories and have an open discussion about the practices of bringing birth back into communities and how to better support births.
The two day gathering wrapped up with a drum circle at Obishikokaang Elementary School and a Feast at the Frenchman’s Head Complex.
