Lac Seul Transit Set to Launch Monday March 2nd

Lac Seul Transit Accessible Van

Economic Development has been working hard to fill the gap of transportation to and from communities. Their solution? Lac Seul Transit. This new program will offer fixed routes within Frenchman’s Head, Kejick Bay, and Whitefish Bay as well as transportation to Hudson and Sioux Lookout. This program is equipped with regular 9 passenger vans with a permanent child’s carseat installed for safe and accessible transportation as well as a wheelchair accessible van.

Engagement Sessions were held all day Thursday February 26th for community members to come and learn about the program and have an opportunity to ask questions. The transit program is open to feedback to better serve the community and may make changes along this phase in period.

Lac Seul Transit can be accessed through an app called Blaise. Once downloaded, riders will be able to create a profile and schedule rides and pickup locations. The fee for each trip will cost $10.

Click here to download on Google Play or the App Store.

Lac Seul Transit is looking to hire two more drivers for the program. Only a G license is required to apply.

As well as they are looking to hire a Transit Coordinator.

Those job postings can be found on our careers page.
